smell of old
books and
filthy pillows

permeates in
my skin and
sticks up my
nose, and

glimpse of hope in seeing the
flushes on your cheeks and the

warmth on your skin, the radiance
of your smile and the imminence
of your soul; all of these I attest
as testament to the promise you

once made in the blue moon, of
never ceasing to change anything,
of whatever that binds us together.
I never saw the end coming, yet

it was an oh-so-sweet, surprise.

way shall we perceive of any
boundaries. We shall
explore
endless horizons and
boundless heavens; we shall

reach for the eternal sunshine
and the comfortable
moonlight.

helpless, as you scald me
with your tongue, brimming
with lust and passion. I steel

entirety and suck the air
out of my lungs, and almost,
not quite, I felt alien to my
own body, now empty as I

borrow a piece of heaven

and slippery now, as we

listen to the last few drops

of the earth soaked up

wafted through the cold
air, and we savor it like
our shivering sweats, until

but it was I who was
out of
breath as
I sank deep and low

into your ocean of

vast
and the waters, warm.

I shall swim until
forever,

the road less traveled; I shall
traverse and find my way to a
territory uncharted, where the
waters are untapped yet the soil

pregnant. There shall be no turning
back, no U-turn slots nor traffic
lights or anyone telling you where
to go and where not to. I shall

trade my disdain towards velocity
and race briskly for my life and the
world. I sure won’t take the backseat,
and I shall grab the wheel, earnestly.

I am, moving on.

inside a very dark and vast
pit; but still, the thought of
being buoyant and of free
spirit compensates for it all.

I am my own centripetal force
and I am but one. I could
assume of omnipotence and
be king, sometimes, too.

but the trees and the leaves
have withered, and they cast
of shadows much shorter than
the grasses. At one point of

the day, or another, clouds
would hover all over my head,
blocking my view of the calming
sunshine I have always been

yearning for. The birds would
squeak, perhaps warning the
banal land, about the forthcoming
rain on a very hot summer day

and soon enough the streets
will be deserted and I am left
alone, somber, still aching for
the sun to reappear. It does,

tiresomely, but mostly during
the time of the day when
it was already set to retire.
Have I been tricked again?

If you bleed, then I bleed
as we breathe of the same air.

You are the life I would kill
to live and I shall atone for
this until my very last breath,
until that splendid hour,

Lights were turned on
and turned out, and the
shrieks grew wilder as
three men adorned with

the most handsome faces
graced the stage and sang
of wine and of cigarettes,
of love and of heartbreaks.

Nothing really beats
a break up band.
